They are recipients of Best International Aboriginal Release for the Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards in Canada.
Skye Wallace is what happens when a classically trained singer with east coast roots discovers punk rock in their youth. Hailed coast to coast as a “national treasure”.
Wayne Buttery – Celebrating the Blues
From the mid to late 1960’s, Wayne performed with a number of local bands at high school dances, parties, etc. It wasn’t until early 1970 when Wayne became one of the founding members of the popular Toronto based nostalgia show band, BANANAS. Later in the mid 1980’s he went on to perform with MIDDLE AGED CRAZYS and in 1989 founded “The Bluenotes”. In 1991 Wayne moved to Central Ontario’s, Orr Lake community near the town of Elmvale where he often performs solo in local venues and resorts.
Huntsville, Ontario based bluesman Tobin Spring is making some waves in the Canadian blues scene.
In June, 2014 Tobin was selected as a finalist by the Toronto Blues Society for the TBS Talent Search. In January, 2015 Tobin performed for a packed house at Blues Summit 7 at the Eaton Chelsea in Toronto. “Tobin Spring is a rising triple threat as singer/songwriter and guitarist – definitely someone to watch.” John Valenteyn, Maple Blues Newsletter.
A devotee of pre-war blues and classic artists such as Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson and Howlin’ Wolf, Reddick formed his innovative band Paul Reddick & The Sidemen in Toronto in 1990, developing a cult-like following in the clubs and venues on the circuit at the time and spent the better part of a decade touring across Canada.
