Downtown Farm to Table Dinner

Join us on the main street and celebrate Orillia & Canada’s 150th in Downtown Orillia! Treat yourself to a delectable outdoor dinner with locally sourced, organic food, prepared by downtown restaurateurs Rustica Pizza Vino, Shine Juice Bar & Cafe, Tre Sorelle, Era 67 Restaurant and Lounge, Brewery Bay Food Co. and Patilero. A special five-course prix fixe menu inspired by farm fresh ingredients, complete with wine & beer pairing, has been created especially for 100 dinner guests. Signature event gifts, provided by downtown businesses, will be presented to each guest along with an illuminating end of evening surprise.
Begin your evening at the Orillia Opera House for pre-dinner cocktails beginning at 4:30 pm then make your way from the Opera House to the main table event beginning at 6 pm. The evening promises to be a magical dinner experience full of relaxation, delicious fare and great company. Make your way to the Starry Night Studio & Gallery Tour on the main street once dinner has wrapped up and enjoy a beautiful night of art & music in Downtown Orillia.
Local farmers involved in providing the fresh food and flowers for the Farm to Table Dinner include The Kitchen Garden Farm, Hewitts Farm-Market, Just say Cheese, Wildflower Farm, McBrides Organic Farm, Jordan Orchard Peach Farm & Kimberly’s Organic Sprouts.
1st Course: Rustica Pizza Vino.
Farmers’ Boards. A selection of fine Italian cured meats, speciality cheeses, olives, and chutney (for sharing).
Vegan Option: A vegan sharing platter of fruit, olives, herbs, bread & olive oil.
The local farmer that provided the fresh cheese for the Farmers’ Boards is Just Say Cheese in Midland.
2nd Course: Shine Juice Bar & Cafe.
Grilled Niagara peach and fennel stack topped with a in house smoke mozzarella pesto drizzle on a charred cedar plank.
Local farmers that provided the fresh ingredients for this course include Mcbrides Organic Farm in Orillia for the Fennel, Jordan Orchard Peach Farm in Niagara for the peaches, The Kitchen Garden Farm in Orillia for the Pesto Basil, Kimberly’s Organic Sprouts in Barrie for Sprouts, with the Charred Cedar plank supplied by Western Cedars & Smoked “mozzarella” from Shine in-house Dairy.
3rd Course: Tre Sorelle.
Pasta Puttanesca. A rustic tomato based sauce full of rich flavour, using anchovies, garlic, olives, and fresh herbs, and topped with roasted cherry tomatoes and fresh parmesan cheese.
Vegan Option: Pasta Puttanesca with vegan sauce without anchovies.
Local farmers that provided the fresh ingredients for this course include The Kitchen Garden Farm in Orillia for the cherry tomatoes and Tre Sorelle’s personal farm for the fresh herbs.
4th Course: Era 67 Restaurant & Lounge.
Braised short rib with seasonal vegetables.
Vegan Option: Braised sweet potato short rib with seasonal vegetables.
5th Course. Brewery Bay.
Cheesecake with a twist. A lemon mason jar cheesecake topped with a wild blueberry compote, whipped cream and a white chocolate star.
Vegan Option: Lemon mason jar cheesecake topped with a wild blueberry compote, almond-oat crust and a cashew, coconut-cream & vegan cream cheese filling.
The local farmer that provided the fresh berries for this delicious dessert is Hewitt’s Farm Market in Severn.
